Chuck Cregger, the company’s president, has over 30 years of experience as a home remodeling and custom stairs and rails contractor. Our History
Since 1998, we have been a family-owned and operated company.
Our latest brand, American Air Rail, is a product of that vision. From a simple start to the premier cable rail and floating stair contractor on the East Coast, we have the tools to turn dreams into reality.
Keeping It in the Family
In 2026, Cregger Construction welcomed Rob Lessner as General Manager, and founder Chuck Cregger welcomed his brother back home.
After more than 20 years building and leading home renovation teams, and a year’s hiatus from the industry at large, Rob is once again helping to guide Cregger Construction’s next chapter.
Chuck and Rob are a natural pair.
Rob’s background is in interior renovations and operations, where he built a reputation for scaling teams and delivering quality work — experience recognized nationally among his peers in the contracting industry.
Chuck spent more than 30 years turning his popular upstart “Chuck and a Truck” into the premier cable rail and floating stair contractor on the East Coast. Together, they bring complementary strengths to the same shared goal.
The family connections don’t end there, though. Chuck’s son Aiden is part of the company too, which means the next generation is already helping shape where Cregger goes from here.
